Braddocks Guide to Racing.
Any time you bet on a horse race you look for a key to unlock
the puzzle. Everybody uses one. Call it their method
or system, it`s something they need
to make sense of it all. It may be a view gained from shrewd
insight, or at the extreme end of the scale, plainly bizarre.
Yet even in the latter case, for the first time lucky punter,
to the disbelief of the more knowledgeable, it sometimes just
works! However, to whichever end of the spectrum they belong,
most backers base their approach on a single strategy. This
they apply without discrimination to every race. When it doesn`t work they are bemused, like the one club golfer, or
the one trick pony who loses his trick and the circus leaves
him back in town. Racing, like life, is subject to change.
New horses, jockeys, trainers, even new race fixtures. Hence
there is the constant need to adapt, which a limited approach
just cannot offer.
